In Microsoft Excel large numbers are often converted to scientific notation format. Our royalty software cannot import numbers in this format.
There are two ways to handle this.
In Excel select the column with your ISBNs. Right click your mouse and select “Format Cells…”. From the formatting menu select number and change decimal places to zero. If this method does not work use Method 2.
In Excel add a column to the right of the column with the ISBNs. In this column (B) enter the formula: =UPPER(A1) where A1 is the value in the adjacent column. Double click the bottom right corner of this cell to copy the formula to the bottom of the column. Then select this column (B), select copy and then select Paste Special – As Values. The numbers will be saved as text and left justified.
