You can export author and agent information from QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online to a Microsoft Excel file. This information can be imported into our royalty software.
Step 1. Assign a vendor type to each royalty recipient
Assign a vendor type of “Author” or “Royalty” to each vendor that receives a royalty payment. This will allow you to filter the list of vendors to show only those that receive a royalty payment.
1.1. Go to the Vendor Center (Main Menu > Vendors > Vendor Center)
1.2. For each royalty recipient vendor select the edit button on the vendor information window. This opens the Edit Vendor window.
1.3. In the Edit Vendor window’s Additional Info tab enter the vendor type. Then press OK to commit the change.
Step 2. Create the Vendor Report
The next step is to create the report that contains the royalty recipient’s contact information.
2.1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > Vendors & Payables and open the Vendor Contact List report
2.2. Select the Customize Report button at the top of the screen.
2.3. Select the Filters tab. For vendor type specify the type that you selected for your royalty recipients. This will filter the vendor contact report to show only royalty recipient vendors.
2.4. Select the Display tab to select the fields to export. Then press OK.

2.5. Close the Modify Report window and return to the Vendor Contact List window.
2.6. Select the Memorize button to save the customized report.
Step 3. Export the Vendor Contact List
3.1. Open the memorized report.
3.2. Press the Excel > Create New Worksheet button to export the information to an Excel worksheet. You can import the Excel file into EasyRoyalties.
