A bundle refers to a set or a collection of products. For each component the quantity and revenue share is specified. When a sale is made each components is assigned the quantity and revenue share specified in the bundle.
- Great Rivers bundle is a collection of 3 books: The Amazon River, The Nile River and The Thames River.
- Math 101 Grade 1 bundle is a collection of 20 student workbooks and 1 teacher’s guide.
- Songs of the West bundle is a album with 4 songs.

This bundle consists of 4 songs. Each component has a a sales quantity of 1 and is allocated 25% of the revenue.
Rules to Remember for Bundles
Rule 1. The bundle edition (product) cannot be an edition of the title record for any component product.
If you want to create a bundle for products (editions) with a parent title of Red River and Yellow Sun, the bundle edition cannot be a child product (edition) of either product’s parent (title) record.
Each bundle product should be linked to a title that contains only editions that are bundles. Commonly used names for titles that contain only editions that are products include; Albums, Bundles, Collections and Sets. Some publishers create a new title for the bundles released each year; Bundles-2015, Bundles-2016.
Rule 2. If the components of a bundle changes, you should create a new edition for the updated bundle and assign it a new ISBN number.
Imported sales are allocated to the components that exist in the bundle record at that point in time. If the components of a bundle change, sales records imported after the change will use the components of the updated bundle.
How to Create a Bundle Manually
Step 1. Open the title used to hold all of your bundles.
Step 2. In the More… > Editions tab create a new edition record by selecting the Add a new edition button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. In the popup window that appears enter the name of the bundle in the Title of this edition field, the product identifier in the ISBN field and specify a format of the edition.

- Edition 2 title is Beaches of the World Collection
Step 4. Open the edition record (by selecting the Edit button to the right of the edition title.
Step 5. On the newly created edition record select the Bundle tab.
Step 6. In the Bundle tab enter the components of this bundle by selecting the Add product button. For each component specify the quantity and revenue share.
Step 7. When done close the record by selecting the red X in the tool bar.
How to Create a Bundle via a File Import
You can create bundle records from an import file for Type of Data: Titles & properties.
Prior to creating bundle records from a file import, import all editions – the bundle editions and the non-bundle editions.
For editions that are bundles the IsBundle Y/N field should have a value of Y. If empty the default value of N is used.
Then import a second file for Titles & properties with the components of each bundle. Populate the following fields;
- ISBN (ISBN of the component product)
- BundleParentISBN (ISBN of the bundle product)
- BundleShare (.10, .30)
