Title or property code is a unique code for this title. The software will automatically generate the title code using the settings in the main menu: Options & Settings > Automatic codes & numbering window. Though you can assign your own unique code, we recommend using the system generated code.
Title is the name of the property.
Subtitle is the subtitle of the title. Many books have a subtitle.
Sorting title (if different) is the title used in the title records view. The sorting title is automatically created if the title contains a commonly prefix such as “The” or “A”. You can modify or delete the sorting title. The record list displays the sorted title by default. From the toolbar’s Settings icon > Columns button you can elect to show the unsorted title in the title record list.
Local title is used to record the original name of the property, if this was an acquired title.
